Main Street Mason City's has partnered with 12 downtown businesses for a Holiday Window Display Competition and Gift Basket Giveaway. Everyday a different downtown business will be featured daily for 12 days starting Monday, December 3rd thru Friday December 14th. Check out the list of participating businesses below.

Kick off Home for the Holidays with a Rum with Rudolph 5K run/walk. Start off this festive day with a fun morning run along beautiful State Street in Mason City. Cross the finish line and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate with Rum Chata. Registration also includes a stocking cap. Register by November 15 to guarantee a cap. The first 100 entries will also receive a Shop Small Business Saturday canvas bag with coupons and other goodies inside from many of the downtown merchants!

*Please note, this event is open to all ages, but you must be 21+ to enjoy the Rum Chata.

The race will start at the corner of State Street and North Federal near Moorman Clothiers. Runners will run east on State Street until the turn around on Illinois and head back on State Street.

11:00 am - 1:30 pm: 14th Annual Ethnic Lunch by Central Park: Cultural Exhibits, Ethnic Food, Geneaology, Diversity Awards.  (see full menu below)

6:00 pm - 10:00 pm: Friday Night Live, featuring The Chocolate Crackers. Fabulous food, your favorite beverages, inflatables and games for the kids, craft show, and possible guest appearance by the mobsters.

11:00 am: First re-enactment of First National Bank robbery, staged by Public Enemies of 1932, with help from local participants.

12:00 noon: Performance by Denny's School of Dance, featuring 1930's music, dance routines and costumes.

12:00 noon - 11:00 pm: Dillinger Gang "Wanted" Posters Display at Fat Hill Brewing

12:45: Costume contest judging

1:00 pm: Second bank robbery re-enactment.

2:00 pm: Second performance by Denny's School of Dance.

3:00 pm: Third and final bank robbery re-enactment.

20-hour live Inspiration 97.9 KCMR FM Sharathon broadcast will be held from 7a.m. to 5 p.m on Wednesday and Thursday, October 13-14

Listeners are invited for free coffee, a bake sale and a silent gift basket auction from 9 a.m to noon on Wednesday, Oct 14

A free Listener Appreciation lunch will be from 11a.m to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 14. at the studios. A silent auction will continue until 4p.m.

Announcing teams are Bill Schickel with Toni Timmer, Mary Carmody and Bob Miller, Bruce Lane and Kim Svedja and Kaye Steger. Amy Fleming from KIMT TV3 will make special appearances.
