What's Cooking at MCPL: A Cookbook Club

Calling all foodies! Test out the Mason City Public Library’s Cookbook Club, a monthly gathering where members cook, share, and talk about their favorite recipes based on a new theme each month. June’s theme is Breakfast & Brunch!

How it works:

1. Choose a recipe from a library cookbook, magazine, or online database (like A to Z Food Database).

2. Submit a copy of your recipe at the main desk or via email: [email protected].

3. Prepare one regular-sized recipe (serves 8–12) and cut into bite-sized pieces.

4. Bring your dish to share, ready to serve (don’t forget your serving utensils and a drink if desired).

5. Enjoy a potluck-style meal and discuss cookbooks, techniques, and flavors with fellow culinary enthusiasts!

Registration is not required—just bring your appetite and curiosity. The library provides tableware. Please include any food allergies or dietary notes when you submit your recipe.
