Tree Lighting Ceremony
Celebrate the magic of the season as Main Street Mason City hosts a festive Tree Lighting Ceremony at The Music Man Square! Though plans look a bit different this year, the holiday spirit is alive and well, and we invite you to join us for an evening filled with warmth, music, and community cheer.
The event begins at 5:30 PM with community caroling led by Betsy Kirby and Allison Day, followed by the tree lighting with Mayor Bill Schickel and a special guest. After the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree, guests are invited to explore the It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas exhibit—featuring more than 50 decorated Christmas trees and holiday displays throughout The Music Man Square.
The celebration continues at 7:00 PM with the Symphonic Orchestra of North Iowa’s first annual holiday concert, offering a joyful musical finale to the evening. This event is FREE and open to the public. Bring your friends and family, soak in the twinkling lights, and kick off the holiday season with us in Downtown Mason City!
