BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT: Pipe Dream Pizza

Have you seen the menu at Pipe Dream Pizza? If you have you probably had some questions about what exactly you were ordering. Quattro formaggi, grana Padano, fior di latte Mozzarella, La Quercia speck. If it sounds like a foreign language, that’s because it is. Italian words for “absolutely delicious” as it turns out.

Wood-fired Neopolitan pizza has come to downtown Mason City and it’s a flavor experience you won’t want to miss. In order to ensure the perfect pizza for downtown Mason City, Pizza Czar Anthony Falco, an International Pizza Consultant was brought in. Rest assured that Pipe Dream Pizza learned from the best!

It was a bit of a surprise, but while attending the NIACC John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center’s Venture School and doing the required research, they found out customers cared more about locally sourced ingredients than organic. With this in mind, they were able to seek out quality ingredients from local producers including, Twisted River, Red Shed, The Thomas Farmstead, and Milton Creamery. As it turns out, serving farm-to-table, locally sourced ingredients on pizza is the sweet spot for the three owners of Pipe Dream Pizza - Billy Koci, Shawn Flitcroft, and Brigid Porter.
